"I want support from someone who understands the LGBTQ+ perspective."
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I understand the importance of finding a provider who is sensitive to the LGBTQ+ lived experience and point of view. I also understand wanting a provider who does not make assumptions and define your entire lived experience based on your sexual orientation or gender identity alone. As a human being, sexual orientation and gender identity are just two intersections of who we are. Many other facets of our identity including, but not limited to, race, religion, family, and generational history also have an influence on our lived experience and current concerns. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel free to be your authentic self.
I take a holistic approach to treatment, incorporating concepts from relational neuroscience, internal family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Treatment is tailored to each individual or couple, incorporating evidence-based interventions that have been proven effective.
I provide support for the following:
Questioning Sexuality or Gender Identity
Stress Related to the LGBTQ+ Dating Field
Body Image Concerns
Sex & Intimacy Concerns
Coming Out-Related Stressors & Insecurities
Difficulties Overcoming a Breakup
